Fall is here!!! I have always thought that spring was my favorite time of the year but I am beginning to change my mind! It is so refreshing to walk outside the house and feel the cool breeze.

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to our favorite pumpkin patch, Love Creek Orchards, and this year we invited friends to join us for fun fall day to go and enjoy. We built scarecrows, painted pumpkins, went on a tour of the orchards and had the best apple pie.

What a great way to start the fall season!

These are cute pictures! It was a fun day, thanks for inviting us!

The corn casserole recipe looks yummy...I'll have to try it.

Corn Casserole

1 can whole kernal corn,drained
1 can cream style corn
1 package corn muffin mix
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter, melted
1-1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar

Directions
Preheat oven 350 degrees
IN a large bowl, stir together 2 cans of corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter. Pour into greased 9x13 casserole dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with cheddar. Return to oven for 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let stand for at least 5 minutes and then serve warm.

Chewy Cocoa Brownies
Mmm Good!

1 2/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tbsp water
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup nuts (optional)
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease 9x13 pan
Combine - sugar,butter and water in large bowl. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into pan.
Bake 18-25 minutes or until wooden pick comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen brownies.

Monkey Break
Umm Good and Gooey too!

3 packages of refrigerated biscuits (cheap ones)
1 cup of sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a tube pan with non stick spray.
Cut each biscuit into quarters, toss in cinnamon and suguar mixture. Start layering them in the tube pan.
When you have finished cutting and coating the biscuits you will need to put the brown sugar and margarine into a saucepan and melt on medium heat. Let it come to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
Pour sauce over biscuits. Bake in oven for 35 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Turn onto a plate - pull apart and serve!
